Michael Razo

CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Michael Razo, 61, who passed away late Monday evening at Hospice House.
Michael was born Jan. 13, 1957, in Youngstown, the son of Norman and Virginia (Kreidler) Razo.
He was a 1975 graduate of Springfield High School and attended farrier school in Memphis, Tenn. in 1977.
Michael's lifelong passion was horses. He worked as a self-employed farrier for over 40 years. Michael also worked at the Mahoning Valley Racetrack and Mountaineer Racetrack for many years.
Michael's wife, the former Karen Hopes, whom he married Sept. 18, 1982, passed away July 28, 2016.
He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Christiansen of Boardman and Rebecca Razo of Canfield; sister Mary (Tim) Mounce of Austintown; brother Mark Razo of North Lima; and two grand-daughters, Addison and Mckenna.
Michael was also preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
