YOUNGSTOWN - Memorial services will be held on Friday at noon, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, celebrated by the Rev. Kevin Peters, for Gloria M. McGuire, 66, who died Sunday afternoon at Meridian Arms in Youngstown.
Gloria was born on Oct. 10, 1949, in Youngstown, daughter of Victor J. and Agnes C. (Paden) McGuire, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Gloria was a homemaker, caring for her parents for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Scared Heart, St. Angela Merici Parish, where she was very involved. She enjoyed making crafts, spending time with her family, and playing bingo.
Gloria is survived by her three sisters, Agnes McAllen of Pulaski, Pa., Shirley (Robert) Durkin of Canfield, and Rose (Gregory) George of Austintown; two brothers, Victor J. McGuire Jr. and Daniel R. McGuire, both of Youngstown; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean McGuire, and brother-in-law Ronald McAllen.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at the funeral home.
