Agnes Mcskimming

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Agnes (Hillman) McSkimming, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2019, in Grand Rapids.

Aggie was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Youngstown, the daughter of Charles and Theresa (Reddington) Hillman.

Her beloved husband, William (Mac), whom she married Oct. 10, 1953, passed away April 2, 2018.

Aggie was a graduate of South High School and worked at the Youngstown Vindicator before becoming a full-time homemaker for her family. She loved being a volunteer in a variety of roles, especially as an elementary school parent helper. She enjoyed gardening and bowling. Aggie and Mac delighted in many social activities with their friends as members of the Starlighters, Bears Club and Sebring Country Club.

Her memory will be cherished by her three daughters, Terry (Carl) Nord of Cleveland, Tracy (Jon Trapp) Liptak of Centerville, and Nancy (Andy) Moore of Grand Rapids.

Aggie was devoted to her grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah) Nord, Ryan (Rachel) Nord, Natasha (Chris) Wilson, William and Lindsey Rebholz; and her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Caroline and Gavin William Nord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mac; her infant son, Michael; her brother, Charles Hillman; and four sisters, Ruth Watson, Helen Gibbons, Anna Schuster, and Dorothy Hillman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave. in Youngstown. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Her family extends a special thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice and the Village of Heather Hill for their loving care of Aggie.
