AGNES 'AGGIE' PARISI
YOUNGSTOWN - A wonderful mom, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, aunt, friend and genuinely caring lady went to be with her beloved on Tuesday morning. Agnes "Aggie" Parisi passed away on June 2.
Aggie celebrated her 90th birthday on Feb. 25. She was born in Youngstown to Peter and Catherine Welsh, and lived in the area all of her life.
Aggie was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She volunteered for "anything and everything" at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and School, and was one of the founding members of the parish. Aggie belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society and IHM Seniors Group. Those around her were touched by her unwavering love of family and friends. She and her husband, Dino, belonged to the Model T Club and enjoyed many activities and trips with the members. Together, they also enjoyed the fellowship of the retirees of Operating Engineers Local 66.
Aggie - "Nan," as her grandchildren called her, gifted every baby that came along for over 50 years with a Humpty Dumpty pillow that she handmade and embroidered just for that child. Her grandchildren's Humpties are a truly loving memory of Nan that they will carry with them all of their lives.
Aggie leaves her daughters, Cathy Foster of Boardman and Carol (Larry) Myers of Oak Hill, Va.; her granddaughters, Amy Foster (Paul) Gobel of Boardman, Michelle Myers (Jason) Wall of Middletown, Del.; and grandsons Marc (Ashlie) Foster of Yelm, Wash. and Michael (Kelsey) Myers of Fairfax, Va.; also, Dale Foster of Boardman, and Jeannie Fiumara (Dave Breitfelder) of White Marsh, Md., who was like a granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren that always brought smiles to her face, Ann Stewart and Ruby Wall, Jonathan and David Myers, Jessica and Courtney Gobel, Chloe and Taylor Foster, and Rylanand Aria Breitfelder.
Preceding her in death and waiting to greet her again are her husband, Dino, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years; as well as her parents; brothers Tom and Ray Welsh; and many beloved family members and lifetime friends.
The family will welcome family and friends on June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
Prayers will be held on June 9, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown. Resurrection Cemetery will be her resting place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman.
A special thank you to Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion shown to both Aggie and her family in her last days.
