AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery for Agnes Ellia Siciliano, 94, who died peacefully Monday morning. Agnes was a resident at Brookedale Memory Care, and died of natural causes.
She was born Aug. 20, 1921, to Catherine Kramer and Demetrius James Ellia in Youngstown. Mrs. Siciliano's grandparents were Katherine Schrank and Conrad Kramer of Berne, Switzerland.
Agnes graduated from Chaney High School in 1939. She was a lifelong Catholic.
Agnes was a loving and devoted wife to James Siciliano for 74 years, ending with his death in 2015.
Agnes was an outstanding cook and delighted in preparing her Italian dishes and other ethnic delights.
Agnes is survived by her four children, Carol Hoffrichter, Nancy (Andy) Matey, Patti (Terry) Reed, and son Jim Siciliano; sister Dorothy Miglets; five loving grandchildren, Dr. Mark A. Matey, Marni Tamarkin, Jennifer Hamilton, Heidi Matula and Nina Seccula; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her death were her two brothers, James and Robert Ellia; and sister Katherine "Kitty" Davis.
The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her at Brookedale Memory Care.
