AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Alex Chenlikas Age 82 of Austintown who passed away Saturday evening at Forum Northside Medical Center.
Alex was born October 1, 1922, in Youngstown, the son of Gus and Sarah Burnstein Chenlikas.
He was a lifelong area resident, and had served in the Army Air Corps during W.W.II. He later worked as a fish cutter for the Berkowitz Market for over 50 years before retiring in 1988.
His wife the former Anna Heeds whom he married November 25, 1942, died March 9, 2005.
He is survived by two daughters, Judith A. and her husband Robert Ress of Carmel, Indiana, and Edith A. Chenlikas of Austintown, a son Kenneth A. Chenlikas of Austintown, seven grandchildren, and a niece Rita.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by three sisters Rose, Helen, and Eaydie.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 10 AM to 11 AM Wednesday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
