CANFIELD - Alice Dudik, 88, departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at the Inn at Ironwood.
Alice was born on April 1, 1930, the only girl to John and Susanna Hassay (Hlavchak). She was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area.
After her graduation from East High School in 1948, she worked until after her marriage to Jack Dudik in 1955 when she devoted herself to raising her children. She resumed working, retiring from the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority. Alice was very devoted to her Catholic religion. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, visiting local wineries, and making her excellent pies, and she was a meticulous housekeeper and cook.
She will be deeply missed by her partner, Fred Dezee; her children, Renee (Dave), Janice (Dom), Jackie, John, daughter-in-law Jill, and adopted daughter, Ellie; grandchildren Amanda (Michael), Marc (Tarah), Matt (Kacy), Hughie, Raymond (Chelsea), Jonathan, Jordynn and Jack; and great-grandchildren Addison and Juno.
She was preceded in death by two children, Adele and Raymond; and five brothers, John, Paul, Stanley, Ed and Ted.
She is survived by her brother, Henry (Betty) Hassay.
Private services will be held at a later date, and interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
