CANFIELD There will be services Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Alice M. Traikoff, 69, who passed away Monday morning at Hospice House.She was born Aug. 24, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Aileen Gibbons Leonard.Alice was a 1955 graduate of Ursuline High School. She worked at the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School for more than 20 years, where she was a teacher¹s assistant for students earning their GED, retiring in 2006.She was also employed at H&R Block for 20 years, as a Tax Preparer, retiring in 2004. She spent time volunteering at the Ursuline Mother House. She was a memberof St. Christine Church and St. Michael Church. Alice enjoyed golf, travel, sunsets and loved to walk on the beach. She mostof all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.Her husband, George C. Traikoff, whom she married Aug. 18, 1956, passed away Nov. 5, 1986.Alice leaves four daughters, Aileen Tony Tesone of Boardman, Tara Burton of Canfield, Joan Dave Zidar of Burghill and Janine Traikoff of Hoboken,N.J.; two sons, G. Chris Traikoff of Westlake Village, Calif., and Dr. Thomas J. Susan Traikoff of Canfield; three brothers, John Janice Leonard of Toledo, William Diane Leonard of Boardman and Richard BarbaraLeonard of Michigan; 14 grandchildren, Kara, Colleen, Kristen, Chris, David,Anthony, Jack, Alyssa, Michael, Sarah, Anna, Tommy, Samantha and Shannon; and a great-grandson, Parker Andrew.Besides her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her parents.Family and friends may call Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Material tributes may take the form of donation to either the Ursuline Sisters, 4250 Shields Road, Canfield, OH 44406, the Difference Makers, 225 North Main St., Hubbard, OH 44425 or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St.,Boardman, OH 44512.
