WESTERVILLE - Allen Robert Speedy, 54, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday, April, 27, 2022 at his home.

He was born May 21, 1967, in Athens, Ohio, the son of Robert A. Speedy and Esther J. Carnahan, and the twin brother to Amy.

Allen graduated from Champion High School, Class of 1985, where he participated in band and student council. Since the age of 15, Allen worked in the food service industry, most recently as a waiter employed at the Polaris location of Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Columbus.

He very much loved and adored his two cats and fed his sense of adventure by traveling , especially to sunny, warm places by the water. He enjoyed attending live country music concerts, his favorite being Carrie Underwood. His outgoing, kind personality will be missed by his customers, coworkers, friends and family that he leaves behind.

Allen is survived by his mother, Esther J. Carnahan of Austintown; two sisters, Breanna (James) Herschel of Canfield, and his twin sister, Amy (Randy) Hahn of Louisville, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Brett, Daniel and Kyle Herschel and Abby, Clay, Brody and Erin Hahn; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Speedy; and a niece, Dr. Allison R. Herschel.

A private memorial service has already been held.
