Alvin Guterwill

Alvin Guterwill passed away Monday evening, May 6, 2019, at Portage Medical Center.

He was born April 4, 1931, in New York City, New York, the son of the late Julius Guterwill and Anna (Stratmore) Guterwill.

Alvin was a graduate of Erasmus High School in Brooklyn New York. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, serving for 8 years. He then worked as a Personal Property Manager for the United States Government.

His wife, Diane Guterwill, whom he married March 16, 1969, preceded him in death on June 10, 1986.

Alvin is survived by his sons, Robert Guterwill, of Niles, Ohio, Craig Guterwill, of Kent, Ohio, and Kevin Guterwill, of North Jackson, Ohio; his two twin grandchildren, Michael and Diane Guterwill; and his daughter-in-laws, Michele Guterwill and Tammy Guterwill.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel, 439 S. Salem-Warren Rd, where family and friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
