AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Amanda L. "Mandy" Fire, 37, who died Sunday morning at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.
Mandy was born January 4, 1979, in Youngstown, the daughter of Phillip and Theresa (Karnofel) Gursky.
She was a 1997 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a server at several area restaurants.
Mandy is survived by her husband, Andrew Fire, whom she married May 12, 2008; her mother, Theresa (Kim) Conner of North Carolina; sister Ashley Kiktavy of North Carolina; in-laws, John and Janet Fire of Austintown; and sister-in-law, Christine Fire of Austintown; and brother-in-law Greg Fire of Austintown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Gursky.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 11 AM to 1 pm at the funeral home.
Mandy's family would like to thank the staff at the Cleveland Clinic, especially the ICU, Palliative Care and Hospice nurses and doctors for their compassion and outstanding care.
