Andrew D’Apolito

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Old North Church, for Andrew J. D'Apolito, 62, who died Friday morning.

Andrew, affectionately known as "Andy" was born March 14, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of John and Anne (Crisci) D'Apolito.

Andy was a 1975 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, where he was a great athlete, lettering in three varsity sports. He was a proud member of the Cardinal Mooney High School Baseball Hall of Fame.

Andy loved spending time in the sun and swimming. He was an avid fan of Cleveland sports and Ohio State.

Andy was a simple man, but was very giving and generous. He always had a kind word for everyone.

Andy is survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Daniel) Turner of Poland, Ohio; three brothers, John (Jeanie) D'Apolito of Boca Raton, Fla., Anthony (Patty) of Poland, Ohio, and Ron (Brenda) of Poland, Ohio; five nieces, Krissi (Scott), Deanne (Randy), Jessica, Anne-Marie, and Sarah; five nephews, John (Jennifer), T.J. (Holly), Danny (Roklyn), A.J. (Sara), and Justin (Amanda); and many great nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Family and friends may call Thursday prior to the Funeral Service, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Cardinal Mooney High School in Andy's name.
