YOUNGSTOWN — Andrew Joseph Sedlar, 86, died peacefully Thursday evening, April 2, 2020, at Hospice House.
Andrew was born Feb. 28, 1934, in Penowa, Pa., the son of Andrew H. and Anna Kapina Sedlar.
Andrew is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Novotny, whom he married on Sept. 10, 1960; daughter, Cynthia (Doug) Baker of Austintown; two sons, Gregory Sedlar of Pell City, Ala. and Edward (Michelle) Sedlar of Barumph, Nev.; sister, Dolores Petrus of Boardman; brother, Frank A. (Margaret) Sedlar of Austintown; four grandchildren, Amanda, Gregory, Nicholas and Austin Sedlar; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Prayers will begin 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Christine Church at 11 a.m.
Memorial tributes may take the form of donations to the St. Christine Capital Improvement Fund.
