MERCER, PA. There will be services Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Andrew P. Poprocky, 92, fromerly of Austintown, who passed away early Monday morning at Countryside Convalescent
Home.
Andrew was born Sept. 22, 1914 in Oceola Mills, Pa., a son of Steve and Susan Galla Poprocky, he moved to Mercer in 1973.
Andrew served in the Army Infantry during WWII. He worked for Berkowitz Frozen Seafood Foods in distribution for 42 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Mears Council. He was a member of the VFW No. 6166 of Hermitage, Pa. He was a fomer member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Andrew is survived by his wife, the former Alma Welsh, whom he married March 6, 1937.
Andrew was proceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Steve
Poprocky.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
