POLAND - Prayers will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. for Angela Moser, 73, who passed away on Saturday morning at her home.
Angela was born on April 24, 1940, in Loka pri Zusmu, Slovenia, to Anton and Monika (Salomon) Kos. Angela's parents died when she was an infant and she was raised by her grandmother and aunts.
She came to the United States in 1965 and married the late Bozidar (Bill) Ratajc. They were the proprietors of R & D Sausage Company in Cleveland, where Angela had lived until 2007 when she moved to Poland.
In Cleveland, she was a Parishioner at St. Mary's Church and then joined the Holy Family Parish when she moved to this area. She was also a member of the Strasko Club, a Slovenian organization in the Cleveland area.
Angela loved gardening and spending quality time with her family and friends and was always happy to cook for them. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Angela is survived by her daughter, Barbara Pearlman and her husband, David and her two grandchildren, Jake and Livi, who were so dear to her. She is also survived by her brother, Anton Kos and his wife, Mary Jane and their children, Monica Bokesch, Sonia Aaron and Anton Jr.; her nieces and nephews in her home country to Slovenia; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Angela will be dearly missed by her best friend, Frances Bence. She also is survived by her daughter, Liliana.
Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Bozidar Ratajc; her brother, Drago Kos; and her sister, Ivanka Lipovsek.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
