Prayers will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Ann Marie Doyle, 79, who died Monday evening at Briarfield Manor.
Ann Marie was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Youngstown, the daughter of Anthony Joseph and Margaret Mary Walsh Doyle.
She attended St. Patrick School and later graduated from Ursuline High School in 1948. She was a proud lifelong area resident.
She had worked for the Youngstown Coca-Cola distribution center from 1969 to 1984. In 1984, she began her career as administrative assistant with the Youngstown State University foundation, retiring in 2000.
She had been a member of St. Patrick, St. Joseph and most recently St. Christine Church. While at St. Joseph, she was a member of the Altar Guild and at St. Christine did volunteer work in the parish office.
Aunt Annie is survived by eight adoring nieces and nephews, Nora Brahney, Cathy Makeley, Mary Kintz, Mary Beth Foley, Bert Brahney, John Thomas, Joe Doyle and David Thomas; and a sister-in-law, Carol Doyle of Charlotte, N.C.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Thomas and Margaret ?Peg? Brahney; and a brother, Joseph Doyle.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the St. Vincent Depaul Society in Ann Marie?s memory.
