YOUNGSTOWN Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Cathedral for Ann Duvall, 75, who died early Monday morning at her home after a brief illness.
Ann was born Oct. 20, 1933 in Youngstown, the daughter of Thomas and Nellie Pyne Gartland.
After graduating from Ursuline High School in 1951, she worked at the Overall Supply Company in Youngstown. She was a longtime member of St. Columba and worked as a volunteer in its kitchen as well as other activities at the church for many years.
Her husband, James A. Duvall, whom she married April 7, 1956, died March 15, 2001.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Renee Duvall of Youngstown; a grand-daughter, Racheal Miller of Youngstown; a niece, Althea Kent and her husband, James Kent, a great-niece, Sarah Kent, and
great-nephew, Joshua Kent, all of Hiram.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Gartland; and a sister, Josephine Peloquin.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Hospice House in Ann¹s memory.
