AUSTINTOWN – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown for Mrs. Ann Cecilia Kaschak, 102, who died on March 3, 2019, at her home surrounded by her children.
She was born Nov. 30, 1916, in Carrolltown, Pa, a daughter of John and Susie (Bracksada) Bakish.
Ann was married to Joseph Kaschak for 45 years, and she was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed many activities. At the age of 70, she delivered the Youngstown Vindicator for 10 years, walking over four miles per day enjoying her interaction with her customers. Ann belonged to several clubs and was very gregarious! Her smile and personality were infectious. Ann was the strength and stability of her family.
She leaves her children Joanne (Joseph) Scarvell, Joey Kaschak, Marlene (Richard) Calvaruso and Patty (Bruce) Wood; her grandchildren, Christopher (Sharon) Scarvell, Jenifer (Bryan) Studer, Susan (Dennis)Patton, Geoffrey (Lucy) Scarvell, Jeanine (Chuck) McCarty, Richard (Diane) Calvaruso, Mark (Megan) Calvaruso, Brian (Kerri Ann) Hartwig, and Stacy (John) Best; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; her sisters, Katherine and Mary; her brother, Bill; her granddaughter, Richele Calvaruso; and her great-granddaughter, Kyrsten Studer.
