Youngstown- A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and prayers offered at 10AM in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Ann Marie Vigieon Locketti, age 81, of Youngstown, died Tuesday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room due to complications from open heart surgery.
Ann Marie was born May 4, 1928 in Youngstown to the late John Vigieon and Rose Altier. Her father and his brothers immigrated from Italy, some using the Vigieon name others using the Viggiano name.
Ann was known by all who loved her as fun loving avid Indians fan and she enjoyed bingo, cards, and reading. She had a great love for friendship and family. Ann will be sadly missed by her Friday Night Texas Hold-em club. She was known for her crocheted baby blankets. She possesed a great love and passion for her children and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Matthew Wojtowitz, they married in 1948, he was killed in 1950 during the Korean War. She married William Locketti in 1954, he died in 2006. She is also preceded by a son Matthew M. Wojtowicz, infant daughter Loise Anne; four sisters, Isabelle Genevish, Carmie Edwards, Sr. Rosemary Vigieon, Florence Campana; a brother Michael Vigieon.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, William J. Chris Locketti of Austintown, James A. Judy Locketti of Austintown, her daughter and best friend, Jeana M. Bobby Beardman; seven grandchildren, Chad, Cal, Kaleigh, Sheena, Jacob, Robbie, and Alexis. Good friend and former daughter-in-law, Marcia Locketti; two sisters, Josephine Lomardo and Jerri Howe; and brother Anthony Vigieon, sister-in-law, Stella Gucwa.
