AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Monday at noon at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Anna Gibson, 86, who passed away Saturday morning.
Anna was born April 16, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew and Emma Carter, and was a lifelong area resident of Austintown.
She attended Chaney High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Four Mile Run Christian Church and Daughters of America and Dames of Malta.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Boyd of Panama City, Fla.; her daughter, Patricia Gibson and son Walter of Austintown; one granddaughter, Kay Sutton from Port Charlotte, Fla.; one grandson, Jason Gibson from Panama City; two great-grandsons, Andrew and Logan Gibson of Panama City; one great-granddaughter, Jessica; and two great-grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Sutton of Port Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Gibson; one sister, Mary McCullough; and brother Evan Carter.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Ann's name to St. Elizabeth Diabetes Education.
