CANFIELD - Prayers will begin Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christine's Church, Youngstown for AnnaMarie E. Stamolis, 71, who died early Wednesday morning at Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 12, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Kachera Kupec.
AnnaMarie was a 1957 graduate of Chaney High School, a 1961 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors in Education and received a Masters in Special Education in 1986 from Kent State University. She was an elementary school teacher for the Youngstown City Schools for over 30 years, retiring full time from West Elementary and continued to teach part time until her illness.
AnnaMarie was member of St. Christine Church and a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her two sons, William G. Stamolis II of Canfield and John D. Kimberly Stamolis of Dublin and two granddaughters, Katie and Julia Stamolis who brought special joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
