MCDONALD - Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown, for Anne M. Knight, 73, who passed away Friday morning at Essex III of Salem.
Anne was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Buffalo, N.Y., a daughter of the late Leonard J. and Michelina A. (Mascari) Lascola Sr.
Anne was a graduate of the first graduating class at Cardinal Mooney in 1959. She was a homemaker who made her family her first priority. She enjoyed bingo and trips to Mountaineer to play slot machines. Anne had a passion for cooking, and she never hesitated to share that with others. She was known for her generosity and her love. Anne was always there for anyone in need.
Her husband, Raymond E. Knight, whom she married Sept. 15, 1962, passed away Feb. 13, 1997.
Anne leaves her daughters, Lisa Knight of Vienna and Michelle (Ron) Sinkovich of Canfield; son Mark Knight of McDonald; the joys of her life, her three grandchildren, Ronnie, Mia, and Shane; sister Maria (Max) Pelleschi of Youngstown; three brothers, Tony (Alice) Lascola of Boardman, Leonard "Leo" (Judy) Lascola of Poland, and Michael (Susan) Lascola of Boardman; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and also her granddog, Romi.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Anne's family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Essex III of Salem as well as Hospice of the Valley for all of their loving care during this time.
