Youngstown - Prayer services will be Friday at 11:30 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at Noon at St. Brendan Church for Anne Hanni, 89, who passed away Monday morning.
Anne was born July 27, 1918 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pawk Kohut.
Anne served in the United States Army during WWII. She was a clerk for Dairy Mart for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Anne was a member of St. Brendan Church. She liked to grow tomatoes and to keep up on current events, especially the upcoming election. Anne loved to read the Sunday vindicator. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters.
Her husband Robert D. Hanni whom she married August 11, 1946, passed away December 28, 1960.
Anne leaves her five children Richard Kay Hanni of Aurora, COL, Michele Ted Wagner of Strongesville, OH, Paul Hanni of Aurora, COL, Karen Boland of North Glenn, COL and Kevin Linda Hanni of Warren; two sisters Helen Coleman of Youngstown and Nancy D'Amico of Austintown; and nine grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Anne is preceded in death by a sister Stella Yozwiak and two brothers Michael and Willian Kohut.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 PM and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
