CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 180 7th St. in Columbiana, for Anthony J. Cicchi, 67, who died Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1940 in Youngstown, a son of John and Catherine Macaluso Cicchi.
Anthony was a graduate of East High School and was a self employed contractor specializing in bridges. He had owned the Tomb Tavern, which was later known as Tony¹s Hideaway and the Italian Village, and the Village Restaurant at Youngstown State University. He was a member of the church and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1959 to 1961. Anthony¹s hobbies were cars and hunting.
He leaves his wife, the former Teddi Stipanovich, whom he married Aug. 24, 1962; his mother, Catherine Cicchi of Boardman; two sons, Dominic Georgia Cicchi and Anthony Renae Cicchi, both of Canfield; two sisters, Kathleen Dominic Cioffi of Canfield and Theresa Gus Nemenz of North Lima; four grandchildren, Vincent, Dominique, Danielle and Gianna Cicchi; a nephew; six nieces; and his best friend since childhood, who was like a brother to him, Anthony Gaglione.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Mary Ann Fisher; and, his dearest aunt, Mary Pacholec.
