YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Anthony M. "Little" Parrotto Jr., 79, who died Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Anthony was born April 13, 1935, in Youngstown, to Anthony M. and Josphine (Beradinelli) Parrotto Sr.
He was a 1953 graduate of East High School and served his country as a Specialist 3rd Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Anthony retired from Fisher Fazio Foods, where he worked as a produce manager.
Anthony was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and the ARCO Club. He enjoyed playing cards, gambling, and horse races. Most of all, Anthony enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Anthony is survived by his wife, the former Patricia A. "Tish" Rezek, whom he married Oct. 29, 1960; a daughter, Shari (Tim) Remias of Austintown; a son, Anthony M. Parrotto III of Columbus; a brother, Nick Parrotto of Boardman; and three grandchildren, Brian and BreAnna Remias and Attyleigh Parrotto.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515, or St. Jude Chidren's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
