Antonio Pallotta

June 19, 1919 — December 16, 2006

YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Thursday morning at 8:45 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Antonio Pallotta age 87 who passed away early Saturday morning at Assumption Village.

Antonio was born June 19, 1919, in Bagnoli Del Trigno, Italy, the son of Michele and Michelina DeVita Pallotta.

He had served in the Italian Army during W.W.II, and had been held as a prisoner of war for two years. He came to this country and settled in Youngstown in 1951. He had worked at General Fireproofing and Truscon Steel, and later worked for over 25 years at Republic Steel before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and the Bagnolese Men's Club.

His wife the former Emilia Vespa whom he married June 9, 1951, died May 28, 1994.

He is survived by a daughter Silvia Jack Marotta of Independence, Ohio, two sons Michael Vickie Pallotta of Naples, Florida, and Victor Peggy Pallotta of Boardman, a sister Giulia Potesta of Rome, Italy, and four grandchildren, Michael, Victor, and Timothy Pallotta, and a granddaughter Emily Marotta.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Baldovino, and Vittorio Pallotta.

Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday evening at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
