BOARDMAN - A prayer service will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman for Arthur R. Latisi, 86, who died Monday afternoon at Vibra Hospital, Boardman.
He was born June 25, 1925, in Center Township, Pa., a son of Bernardo and Carmella Cattoi Latisi.
Arthur was employed by the Youngstown Hospital Association in the Maintenance Dept. and was a member of the church and its Men's Club. He was an Army World War II veteran, being stationed in the European Theatre and landed at Normandy with the 30th Infantry Division. He was a member of the American Legion Lake Milton 737 and the VFW Post 93.
Arthur married the former Mary Lou Becker Aug. 16, 1947.
He leaves his wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Linda A. David Gwinnup of Boardman and Judy M. Lipp of Groveport; three grandchildren, Rebecca Costanzo, Leslie Parker and Ruth Meyer; five great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa A. Latisi; a sister, Melina Petite; and an adopted brother, Gino Latisi.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
