YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, for Barbara E. Dibble, 86, who passed away Friday, April 15. The Rev. David B. Joachim will be the presiding minister.
Barbara was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late William H. and Helen (Daugherty) McKinley.
Barbara was a 1947 graduate of North High School. She worked for General Fireproofing in their sales department before leaving to join her husband, Raymond G. Dibble, in Kentucky, where he was stationed at Fort Knox.
After raising her family, Barbara worked as a receptionist for the Bellezza Hair Salon in Boardman. She loved to travel and especially the cruises she and "Ray" took with their family and friends, including trips throughout the United States and Europe and so many other exciting places.
She enjoyed spending winters at their vacation home on Florida's Gulf Coast, in Madeira Beach. Barbara and Ray met 70 years ago in Youngstown, when Ray's family moved onto the same street as the McKinleys, and four years, later Barbara married the boy next door. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on April 28.
