YOUNGSTOWN - Barbara Elsbury, 83, passed away early Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Barbara was born Oct. 24, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Minnie (Capots) Zoppelt.
Barbara was an avid photo collector and adored pictures of her family. She also enjoyed old country music and soap operas. Her greatest love was for her family and spending time with them.
Her husband, Charles Elsbury, whom she married June 2, 1956, passed away April 8, 2008.
Barbara leaves her three daughters, Debbie (Jack Cahill) Bartlebaugh, with whom she made her home, Karen (Rick) Boyle of Davie, Fla., and Sharon (James) Courtney of Youngstown; two sons, Charles (Terri) Elsbury of Edinburg, Pa. and Gary (Stephanie) Elsbury of Macedonia; 11 grandchildren, Kelly Bartlebaugh, Jennifer Marshall, and Joseph (Janet Dang) Courtney, whom were her constant companions, Mark Schulte, Melissa Lasher, Sharon Boylen, Amy Rogers, Candie Courtney, Daniel May, Gary Elsbury Jr., and Alexandra Elsbury; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Zoppelt of Austintown and Rudy Zoppelt of Ellsworth; and her two favorite fur babies, Lucy and Toby.
Barbara was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Zoppelt; and two brothers, Robert and Ralph Zoppelt.
Barbara's wishes were to have no calling hours or services.
The family would also like to thank Denissa, George, Amanda and Erica of Axis Home Health Care for the many hours of care and support they have given them over the years.
