Barbara Roberts

BOARDMAN - Prayers will begin Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, for Barbara Jean Roberts, 74, who died early Thursday morning at Hospice House.

Barbara was born July 4, 1940, in Youngstown, to Michael and Jennie (Labato) Mazanski.

She was a 1958 graduate of Ursuline High School and owned and operated Angelo's Pizza for 15 years. Barbara dedicated her life caring for her family, especially her husband and children.

Barbara was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, and the Cursillo Movement.

Barbara's husband, Lawrence E. Roberts, whom she married Aug. 2, 1958, died Sept. 17, 1995.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Roberts of Boardman, Larry (Nancy) Roberts of Boardman, and Michael (Marie) Roberts of Austintown; five grandchildren, Shawna, Carly, Katie, Mikey, and Jenna Roberts; and four great-grandchildren.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrot Road, Poland, OH 44514, or the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
