POLAND - There will be services at 10 a.m. Friday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, for Barry Frost, 62, who lost his battle with cancer Monday afternoon.
Barry was born April 12, 1944, in McKeesport, Pa., a son of Robert and Geraldine Townsend Frost.
Barry worked for many years as a sales executive and was employed by
Herr-Voss Stamco. With his extensive business travels, he was able to tour the world and was well known and respected throughout the steel industry.
In his earlier years, he was also a deputy sheriff for Mahoning County and ran security at the Southern Park Mall. Barry had many interests but his greatest love in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He touched all with his love of animals, his sense of humor and his incredible courage and strength.
He is survived by his wife, the former Susan Garchar, whom he married May 15, 1971; three daughters, Tammy Mike Frost and Christy Chuck Muth, both of Poland, and Stacey Chuck Frost-Schultz of Columbus; three sisters, Wendy Jerry Williams of Poland, Joyce Bair of Canfield and Sandra Jim Ashby of Berlin Center; two grandsons, Jake Frost and Charlie Schultz; a granddaughter, Frankie Schultz; and his precious cat, Gus.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather Irvin McBride.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9 to 10a.m. at the funeral home.
