CANFIELD - A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Betty Frances Ellis, 94, who passed away Tuesday at her home.

Betty was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Otto and Alma Dahman Post.
Betty graduated from South High School. She was a loan officer for Public Finance for 55 years, retiring in the 1980s.
She was a former member of St. Luke's Church. She was a wonderful woman. She enjoyed playing cards and going on walks and loved her grandchildren.
Her husband, Jack P. Ellis, whom she married Nov. 26, 1947, passed away April 30, 1989.
Betty leaves her son, Michael Grant Hamilton of Canfield; three grandchildren, Michelle Mangine of Youngstown, Jack Janine Hamilton of Florida and Jim Darlene Hamilton of Texas; six great-grandchildren, Rachael Mangine, and Joshua, Jacob, Jessie, Chase, and Shane Hamilton; three great-great-grandchildren, Julian, Tristen and Abby Grace; and a brother, Robert Post of Arizona.
Betty was also preceded in death by her first husband, Grant Hamilton in 1959; and three sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, and Rita.
Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
