AUSTINTOWN - Private services will be held for Betty J. Grimm, 84, who died early Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center's Emergency Room.
"Betty" was born June 3, 1932, in Chester, W.Va., the daughter of Lloyd and Sara (Silverthorne) Brewer.
She was a graduate of Chester High School in West Virginia and a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
In her spare time, Betty enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles.
Her husband, Lyle W. Grimm, whom she married Jan. 6, 1957, died Oct. 11, 1998.
Betty is survived by five sons, Douglas Grimm of Austintown, Gregory Grimm of Austintown, Terry (Linda) Grimm of Tuscalosa, Ala., Gene Grimm of Austintown and Michael Grimm of Austintown; three grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, and Joshua; and two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Mason.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister Lois Martin; and two brothers, Samuel and Donald Brewer.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
Per Betty's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
