AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Friday morning at 10 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel in Vienna Township for Betty Jane Jones, 83, formerly of Warren, who passed away Monday evening at Hospice House.
Betty was born Feb. 12, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of Francis and Jessie Rowan Jones.
After graduating from Warren G. Harding High School, she had worked as an operator at United Telephone of Warren for almost 40 years before retiring.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Alex Shaffo, with whom she made her home in Austintown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, James McManus, who raised her; two sisters, Ann Shaffo and Mazie Carey; and two brothers, Robert and Francis Jones.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel.
Professional arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
