AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Boardman for Betty Jane Morley Kelly, 89, who passed away Tuesday evening at Hospice House.
Betty was born June 18, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Alfred and Alice Hollen Morley.
Betty was a 1941 graduate of South High School and attended Youngstown Business School. She retired from LTV Steel formerly the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company and later worked as a church secretary at the Pilgrim Collegiate United Church of Christ, leaving there in 1999.
She was a long term member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and served on various boards.
Her husband, Eugene R. Kelly, died in October of 1956.
Betty leaves her two daughters, Karen Lee William Kelly-Daley and Lois Jean Joseph O'Loughlin, both of Austintown; and four grandchildren, Christopher B. Ana Maria Wetzl, Ryan J. O'Loughlin, David L. O'Loughlin and Katelin J. O'Loughlin.
Betty was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ellen Schultz, Florence O. Masi, and Edith L. Mackey; and a brother, Wilbert H. Morley.
Family and friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
The family requests that material contributions be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church memorial fund.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
