Betty Reese

Services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Betty L. Reese, 91, who passed away Sunday evening at the Woodlands at Hampton Woods after an extended illness.

Betty was born March 6, 1917 in Altoona, PA the daughter of Francis E. and Mae Riley Curley.

Betty was a clerk for J C Penny in the Mahoning Plaza. She volunteered at local Alziemers group and Southside Hospital gift shop. She was on a bowling league at Colonial Lanes and enjoyed playing bridge. She most especially enjoyed being active with family and those in need.

Her husband William S. Reese whom she married June 13, 1934 passed away September 1, 1992.

Betty leaves a daughter Carol J. Harry Cadman of North Lima; two sons William D. JoAnn Reese of Canfield and Donald E. Reese of Reno, Nevada; eleven grandchildren Scott Loepp, Lynn Sharp, David Reese, James Reese, Tracy Nash, Renee Gockley, Jason Reese, Lorainne Martin, Ryan Reese, James Reese Brandon Reese; and 6 great grandchildren K.T. Sharp and John Sharp, Erin Nash, Connor Reese, Victoria and Zachary Gockley, and Reese and Riley Martin.

Besides her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by a son Robert; a sister Bernadine Funk; and five brothers Joseph, Edward, Kenneth, Fred, and Don Curley.

Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of floral tributes or donations to Crone's Disease Research in Betty's memory
