CANFIELD - A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel with Pastor Jim Comenzo officiating for Bonnie L. Petrock, 62, who passed away and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
She was born March 30, 1950, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of Joseph and Louise LaPointe DeSalvo.
Bonnie was a 1968 graduate of New Castle High School and had worked in many different professions, such as Real Estate and Insurance, but the most rewarding profession for her was being a private home health caregiver. She was devoted to helping build and caring for a healthier life-style for her clients.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She warmed the hearts of others with her laughter and contagious smile. Bonnie was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She will be truly missed.
In her spare time, she enjoyed interior decorating, traveling with her husband, cooking, planning parties and spending time with her family and friends.
Bonnie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Jerry Petrock, whom she married April 3, 1999; a daughter, Gina Fitzgerald and her fiance, Jason Brown of Brookfield; a son, Anthony and his wife, Charlene Fanno of New Castle; two grandsons, Ian Fitzgerald and Brandon Fanno; and a precious puppy named Phoebe. She also leaves seven sisters and six brothers to cherish her memory.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carolee Kadunce; and a brother, Arthur Joseph DeSalvo.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
