Youngstown ...A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 3 in St. Christine's Church for Breen Mitchell age 47, who passed away
Monday afternoon from complications of Mulptiple Sclerosis.
Breen was born March 27, 1958, in Youngstown, the son of Richard E. and Margaret "Peggy" Monroe Mitchell.
Breen was a 1976 graduate of Ursuline High School and a graduate of Y.S.U with an associate degree in Business. Breen had been the co-owner of Mitchell's Wall Coverings. He was a member of St. Christine's Catholic Church and its renewal
team. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Dominic's Church with 4th degree status.
He was an avid sports fan - he loved Ursuline High School wrestling and football, the Detroit Tigers and Notre Dame, and for 30 years he attended the PBR annual golf tournament.
Breen is survived by his father Richard "Dick" and his wife Betsy of Austintown; 2 sons Justin Elizabeth and Shane of Youngstown; 4 sisters Mary RussLamping of Poland, Meg David McKelvey of Youngstown, his twin Katie Joe Wise of Vienna and Pattie Garchar of Columbus; 5 brothers: Denny Julie of Des Moines, Iowa, BoEileen of Hubbard, Jimmy of Youngstown, John Coni of Youngstown and Tom Kelley of Columbus; 1 grandson Anthony and a grandaughter Adrienne
Mitchell ; 37 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews.
Breen was preceded in death by his mother Peggy.
Friends may call Thursday, February 2 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at The Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a rosary service will be held that evening at 8:00p.m.
