Brenda Dull

November 1, 1951 — February 26, 2024

NEW SPRINGFIELD - Brenda M. Dull, 72, peacefully passed away in her home on the morning of February 26th, 2024, after bravely facing a brief illness with cancer.

She was born on November 1, 1951, the daughter of Mina (Valentine) Burkey and Theodore Burkey.

Brenda was a graduate of Springfield Local High School. She was also a lifelong member of Petersburg Presbyterian Church.

With a career spanning 42 years, Brenda dedicated herself to State Alarm Systems, leaving a mark of professionalism and camaraderie. Her passion for the security alarm sales and service industry was unmatched, and she made lifelong connections along the way.

Outside of work, Brenda's zest for life shined brightly. She was an eBay enthusiast, a master of bargain-hunting, garage sales, and never turned down the chance for a thrilling casino trip. Brenda's generosity knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand and living by the golden rule: "treat others as you would want to be treated." Brenda touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Brenda's legacy lives on through her children, Robert "Dan" Dull of Poland, and Shannon Dunlevy of North Lima, along with her two adored grandchildren, Bryce Carter and Grace Dunlevy. She is also survived by her brothers, Ted Burkey of New Springfield, and Jack Burkey of New Middletown.

Brenda is now reunited with her parents and her cherished sister and best friend, Sherrie Sheely.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1st, at Petersburg Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, OH, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM and a luncheon in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Petersburg Presbyterian Church.

Brenda will be fondly remembered for her kindness, compassion, and a sprinkle of sassiness that brought joy to all who knew her. Though she may be gone, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Brenda, may you rest in peace, surrounded by the love that you so generously shared with the world.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
