Bruna P. Rongone

BOARDMAN - Bruna Pia Rongone, 91, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. She was born on June 2, 1933 in Roccaraso, Italy, the daughter of the late Santino & Elizabetta Liberatore. 

She immigrated to Waterbury, CT in 1947 with her mother and sister Maria. In 1951, she met her husband Frank at a baptism in Youngstown, OH. They were married for 73 years. She worked at Packard Electric for 40 years and was very active in the Italian-American community. She will be remembered for organizing large parties, dance events, her cooking and family gatherings. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Carmen and sisters Maria and Franca. She is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Speranza (Jack Colonna), son Joe (Mary Lou), grandchildren Frank (Melanie), Vincent (Elizabeth), Dominick, Nicole, and great-grandchild Serafina. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, located at 77 E. Lucius Ave, Youngstown, OH 44507. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass, from 9:00AM to 9:45AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Buckeye Hospice, 3379 S. Main St., Mineral Ridge, OH 44440.
