AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Carmen C. Esposito, 83, who passed away early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Carmen was born July 24, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of the late Charles and Verna (Sveda) Esposito.
Carmen graduated from Girard High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Carmen retired from GM Lordstown after 30 years. He was a member of the Ohio Polka Pals Booster Club and enjoyed volunteering at Briarfield Nursing Home. He also enjoyed gardening. His greatest love was for his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Carmen leaves his wife, the former Amelia A. "Amy" DiMuzio, whom he married May 4, 1957; two daughters, Michele Breckner of Youngstown and Carla (Gary) Zinz of Austintown; three grandchildren, Kyle (Niki) Zinz, Mason Breckner, and Emiley (Nate) Body; two sisters, Marguerite Violante of Walden, N.Y., and Louise (Tom) Headley of North Carolina; and four brothers, Charles Esposito of Niles, Richard Esposito of Girard, Myron Esposito of Girard and Louis Esposito of Girard.
Carmen was also preceded in death by a sister, Verna Dando, and two brothers, Michael and Edward Esposito.
Family and friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 525 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406.
Carmen's family would like to thank Dr. Ricchiuti and everyone on the 4th Floor ICU at St. Elizabeth Health Center for all of their compassionate care.
