Carol Cook

BOARDMAN - Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church for Carol H. Cook age 79 who passed away early Monday morning at her home after a one year battle with cancer. Carol was born June 11, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of Robert A. and Mabel Butler Harris. She was a 1946 graduate and Salutatorian of Mineral Ridge High School and a member of the Warren Junior Militery Band. Mrs. Cook worked as a bookkeeper at Hyland Excavating, Plakie Toys and Al Taafe Motors. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church its choir and was also a member of the Seraphim Chorus.
Her husband Kenneth Cook whom she married September 13, 1947 died August 12, 1989. She is survived by three daughters; Kenda Seth Kohn of New Castle, PA, Claudia Dennis Price of Medina, and Caron Robert Bergen of West Chester, OH, seven grandchildren; Chris Price, Megan Kohn, Derek Price and his fiance Amberlie McKee, Josh Kohn, and Katie, Kevin, and Kyle Bergen, her cousins; Ray Cunningham of Akron, Marcia Rupert of Youngstown, and Margaret and Geoffrey Wenlock of West Midland, England and thier families.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at the Higgins-reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and from 12 Noon to 12:45 PM Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to either Hospice of the Valley, the American Cancer Society or the Seraphim Chorus in Carol's memory.
Carol's family will also like to thank Dr. Christopher Knight and the staff at Hope Center for Cancer Care, Dr. David Rich and his staff, Comfort Keepers, Hospce of the Valley and thier many friends for thier prayers and support during Carol's illness.
