YOUNGSTOWN - Private family services were held Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Carol Elaine Watson, 69, who died Wednesday at the Cleveland Clinic.
Carol was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Rimersburg, Pa., the daughter of William E. and Edna L. (Peters) Bowser.
She was a 1963 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, had a great love for animals, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin J. Watson, whom she married Jan. 29, 1966; a daughter, Shelly Ann Watson of New Middletown; a son, Benjamin J. Watson Jr. of Youngstown; four sisters, Loraine Barb of Youngstown, Carolyn I. Phillips of Youngstown, Deborah Zecher of Lowellville and Terry Lynn Bowser of Youngstown; and a brother, William D. (Jill) Bowser of Youngstown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Bowser.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106.
