AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at St Joseph's Church in Austintown for Carole "Sis" Ann Wollet, 77, who passed away the morning of Nov. 18, surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was born on Dec. 22, 1938, in Youngstown and was the daughter of Andrew and Helen (Kunkel) Hutera.
She was a 1956 graduate of Chaney High School and retired from the General Electric Lamp Plant in 1995 after 20+ years of service.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting warm blankets and playing the slots.
She deeply valued the friendships she made throughout her lifetime and continuing these through morning conversations over coffee and breakfast. Her greatest love in life was her family and the never ending unconditional support that she could provide to them.
Carole leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years, Harry "Buzz" Wollet, whom she married on March 15, 1958. She also leaves behind her sister, Margaret "Budgie" Serednesky. Carole was blessed to have had the opportunity to provide for four children; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild that will deeply miss her.
Her legacy will be remembered by her children, Gary (Mary Ann) Wollet of Canfield, Lisa (Robert) Satterlee of Austintown, Nancy (Edward) Seeco of Boardman and Robert (Cynthia) Wollet of Poland; Her grandchildren; Joshua (Stacy) Wollet, Sara Lynn Satterlee, Scott Satterlee, Shawna Satterlee, Katie Seeco, Kara Seeco, Andrew Wollet, Alex Wollet and Anna Wollet; and great-grandson, Joey Wollet.
Beside her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sister, Delores (Hutera) Fountos; and her brother, Robert Hutera.
Over Carole's lifetime, her medical needs were complex and enduring. She was fortunate enough to surround herself with many medical professionals that supported and extended her quality of life. At the forefront was Dr. Thomas Traikoff. Tom cared for her for many years and the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the service and friendship that was provided by Tom. Additionally, the family would like to recognize the staff at the Briarfield Manor Nursing Home for their compassion, respect and end of life care.
All arrangements are being made by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
At Carole's request there will be no calling hours and only a Mass celebrating her life on Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Austintown.
Any material contributions are to made in her memory to Akron Children's Hospital Foundation, 6505 Market St., Building C, Boardman, OH 44512
