CANFIELD - A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Carolyn Ruth Taylor, 76, who died Saturday evening at Vista Care Nursing Home.
Carolyn was born April 16, 1939, in Ellwood City, Pa., the daughter of Chester and Mary (Aiken) Caldwell.
She was a graduate of North Allegheny High School.
Carolyn was an avid reader and an animal lover.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Larry Taylor, whom she married March 12, 1960; a daughter, Laura (Quinn) Ellis of Portersville, Pa.; two sons, Dan (Lori) Taylor of Medina and Derrick Taylor of Wheeling, W.Va.; a sister, Barbara(Charles) Thrash of San Jose, CA; a brother, David (Lynn) Caldwell of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren, Stephen, Jenna, and Rachel Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Road, Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.
