YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church for Carolyn A. Yohman, 81, who passed away Saturday, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born Aug. 31, 1935, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Deangelo) Dantico.
Carolyn graduated from New Castle High School and was a nurses' aid for Northside Hospital for many years. After her retirement, she worked as a home healthcare nurse.
Carolyn loved cooking and collecting recipes. Her greatest love was for her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, William S. Yohman Sr., whom she married Aug. 2, 1958, passed away April 17, 2007.
She leaves her two sons, William S. (Jennifer) Yohman Jr. of Lake Milton and Daniel (girlfriend Kayla Jeswald) Yohman of Austintown; six grandchildren, Steve (fiancée Mandy), Kaylee, Addison, Brandon, Autumn, and Christyan; two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Delilah Jade; and twin brothers, John (Jennifer) Dantico of Tennessee and Joe (Amy) Dantico of New Castle.
Carolyn was also preceded in death by a sister, Elveria Shugart.
The Yohman family would like to give a special thanks to Marylynn Kotis and Joanne Petrarca for all of their love and support.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
