YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Catherine A. Pascarella, 93, who died early Thursday morning at Assumption Village.
"Kay" was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Catherine (Sullivan) Smith.
She was a graduate of South High School and worked as a secretary for the Foot Clinic of Youngstown Residency Program for 20 years. Catherine was a member of Odd Fellows Rebecca and the Latin Culture Club.
Her husband, Ludwick "Wally" Pascarella, whom she married July 12, 1944, died March 26, 1973.
Catherine is survived by three daughters, Charlotte J. (William) Diorio of Poland, Victoria Courtney (Donald) Huffman of Poland, and Catherine (Gary) Daichendt of Laguna Beach, Calif; two sons, Jerry Pascarella of San Diego and Ludwick "Wally" (Sally) Pascarella of Poland; brother William (Ann) Farrall of Florida; 23 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Patricia Reese and Flora Colwes.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
