BRANDON, FLA. - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, March 21, 2015, at 9 a.m., at the Holy Family Church for Catherine "Murphy" Urmann, 61, who died Friday, March 13, in Lithia, Fla.
Cathy was born Nov. 20, 1953, in Dublin, Ireland.
She was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Trinity University and her Master's Degree in Sociology from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She had worked as a research analyst for Operation P.A.R. Village until the time of her illness.
She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Urmann, whom she married Sept. 29, 1984; three brothers, D. Joseph (Maryellen) Fleming of Poland, Thomas (Mary) Fleming of Canfield and James Motters of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Joseph and Rosemary (McNicholas) Fleming.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations in Murphy's memory to help defray costs that were accrued during Murphy's last stage with her battle with Alzheimer's or to the Beatitude House.
