Celeste Teaberry

Celeste Teaberry, beloved and respected member of the community, passed away on February 2nd, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born on November 23rd, 1925, in Youngstown, Ohio.


Celeste lived a remarkable life filled with kindness, compassion, and a perpetual smile that never failed to brighten the lives of those around her. She attended South High School and cherished the friendships she made during her formative years.


One of Celeste's proudest accomplishments was being a founding member of St. Michael Church. Her unwavering devotion to her faith was evident through her active participation in the church community and her role as a past president of St. Michael's Altar guild. Celeste found solace and strength in her faith throughout her life.


In addition to her involvement with St. Michael Church, Celeste dedicated herself to numerous charitable organizations. She served as a member of the Canfield Kiwans Greens and the Canfield Jr. Women's League. As a sustaining member of Fellow Riverside Gardens and trustee Circle-Bulter Institute of American Art, The Club at Pelican Bay, naples, Fl. Celeste demonstrated her love for the arts.


Outside of her charitable endeavors, Celeste had a passion for golf and bridge. She enjoyed spending time at the Tippecanoe Country Club, where she cultivated lasting friendships while pursuing these hobbies.


Celeste is survived by her two loving sons Richard (Suzanne) and Lawrence A. (Linda) Teaberry Jr., who will forever cherish their memories with their mother. Her grandchildren Dr. Vanessa (Dr. Jacob) Schroder, Jeremy Teaberry, Jennifer (Joe) Barker, William Teaberry, and Michael Teaberry were always delighted by their grandmother's warm presence.


She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Hazel Schroder, Aggie Schroder, Neal Schroder, Marion Schroder, Mackenzie, Aubrey and Riley Barker, whose lives were imbued with her love and wisdom.


Celeste was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband Lawrence A. Teaberry, whom she married on June 29th, 1946. His passing on April 14th, 2022, left a void in her heart that will never be filled. She was also preceded in death by her brother Al Altier.


The life of Celeste Teaberry is a testament to the enduring value of love, kindness, and community. Her memory will continue to touch the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.


The services to honor Celeste's life will be held at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home - Boardman-Canfield Chapel located at 3701 Starr’s Centre Drive in Canfield, Ohio. The visitation will take place on February 5th, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.


A Mass to celebrate Celeste's life will be held on February 6th, 2024, at St. Michael Church located at 300 N Broad St in Canfield, Ohio. The Mass will begin at 10:00 AM.


In memory of Celeste's lifelong commitment to serving others and her dedication to charitable causes, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to [charitable organization] in lieu of flowers.


Celeste Teaberry has left an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her legacy of kindness and warmth will continue to inspire generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
