Charles Miller

March 30, 1934 — January 8, 2005

AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Charles W. "Chuck" Miller age 70 of Austintown who passed away Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center of respiratory failure after a one month illness.
Chuck was born March 30, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of Paul and Etta Sara Shaffer Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of the International Association of Machinist and had worked as a machinist for United Foundry for over 35 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling with his family. He also enjoyed building model planes, and was especially proud of his recent restoration of a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle.
He is survived by his wife the former Gloria J. Singleton whom he married July 11, 1953, two daughters, Diana M. Jim Ignazio of Austintown, and Linda J. Ray Westhead of Youngstown, a son Charlie of Titusville, FLA, a sister Brenda Hilbert of Youngstown, a 1/2 brother John Jones of Youngstown, five grandchildren, Jamie, and Kristin Ignazio, and Jessica, Ray, and Jared Westhead, and a great-grandson Dustyn.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother James Miller, and a sister Madonna Ferguson.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 7 PM Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
